Filth

Filth explores the primordial intersection of shame, family, sexuality, adolescence, nature, and empathy through the following: the body, the imagination, and the landscapes that proffer such navigation. The problem Filth seeks to communicate through images, tone, and diction is a humanistic and sometimes presumptuous "imagining" of others' circumstances. No human observations other than the author's own experiences have informed this thesis; methodology in portraying aforementioned human instinct involves mere speculation and emotion. The result of the author's imagination and imaging is these pages of poetry and fiction, which have led the author to the conclusion that feeling, above all---for others both loved and imagined---is essential to true happiness in life.
