Evidences of Primitive Monotheism Among the Ambundu of Angola, West Africa

The controversy concerning primitive monotheism has been fairly well settled# In the fields of ethnology, ethology and the evolution of religion, the author makes no claims of authority. We do claim, however, some first-hand knowledge of the peoples and conditions in Angola, Africa, better known as Portuguese West Africa, where we worked and studied for a period of five years. Concerning this field very little has been written. Thus, the object of this thesis is an effort to throw some additional light on this very important, but much neglected territory.
