Employee Preference of Traits in a Supervisor

Much has been written on the subject of what makes a good supervisor, but little documented study has been made of populations of Federal Employees.The selection of supervisors in the Federal Government poses several interesting problems. Commonly accepted practice in many cases requires written examinations, personal interviews, and a critical analysis of the person's past performance of duties as reflected in his personnel jacket.
