Economic Planning applied to National Defense

This study undertakes e dissuasion of the principles of economic planning and their possible adaptation to the formulation of an economic plan for national defense. It is an inquiry into the possibility of effecting integration in economic activity which shall have, for its primary objective, the maximum utilization of the nation' e economic resources in the event of a major emergency. Specifically the study is concerned with a consideration of the problem of providing an industrial supplement to the military effort which is being worked out in this country as part of the national defense mission, and with the economic planning effort which contemplates the preservation of economic integrity and an equalization of the burdens of war.
