This thesis will provide the first analysis of a projected graduate dance degree program for an Israeli university. Nine graduate dance curricula in the United States were studied as well as the two existing Israeli undergraduate dance programs at seminar Hakibutzim and The Jerusalem Rubin Academy. There is analysis of the mission of the university and its relationship to the arts and to dance specifically. The graduate dance curriculum developed in this thesis is presented as an outline of ideas and possibilities and it is hoped that educators and dance professionals in Israel will find it a valuable reference point for a graduate degree program to be established in the near future.
