What were some of the significant factors which led to the intimate and cordial cooperation that existed between the Soviet Union and Czechoslovakia in the period following the Second World War? Certainly never before in the diplomatic history of the two countries was the relationship on a more friendly level than it has been in the last six years until today; the foreign policies of Czechoslovakia and the Soviet Union are unusually similar.
