Constellations. (Original stories)

Constellations is a collection of seven short stories. As the title suggests, these stories deal with groups and the relationships of the members within them. "The Fountain of Youth" focuses on a girl's fears about her parents' mortality; "Body Language" centers on a grown daughter's attempts to help her parents communicate. In "Lost Time" a son gradually realizes that old memories have trapped his father in the past; in "Constellations" a girl finds her beliefs about the world challenged by her older brother's actions. In "The Foxhole Competition" a squad of female soldiers turn against a fellow recruit; in "The Life You Save" an incident at the beach leads a husband and wife to reevaluate their desire to have children. Finally, "A Moving Story" centers on a frustrated musician's realization that she has more than one talent.
