Land and PeopleBolivia is the sixth largest republic in South America, about as large as France and Spain combined. The paradox is that, in spite of unquestioned richness of natural resources, the country has "thus far failed to develop the kind of life that its national inheritance could reasonably be expected to produce." Bolivia is still "the land of the pathfinder, the pioneer, the explorer.".
