Blood in My Shoes

Blood in My Shoes is about the stories we tell ourselves and the stories we tell to others. Through the lens of the tales we all know by heart--Cinderella, Snow White, Rapunzel, Sleeping Beauty, Rumplestiltskin, and more--these poems explore the challenges we face in a land without magic. This collection takes a look at sex and sexuality, daughterhood and motherhood, love and violence, and the way that fairytales grow up along with us.
