Australia's Role in the United Nations

In the last few years, the name of Australia has appeared regularly in the news, especially in relation to United Nations activities. This is in contrast to prewar years when one seldom encountered reference to Australia in the American press. In part, this new newsworthiness may be because many Americans learned to know and like Australia during the war and they provide a reading public interested in keeping track of Australia's activities.
