In the 1980s there was a rapid growth in corporate collecting. One of the things most notable about the collections of the 1980s was a commitment to educating employees about art. It was at this time that many corporations established structured art education programs that centered around the corporate collection. An investigation of the course these programs have taken over the last ten years is presented in this study. A survey analysis of 150 corporations and an in-depth examination of six exemplary corporate art programs were used to determine the current value of corporate art programs. There are corporations that find corporate art programs valuable. However, the establishment of corporate art programs has diminished over the last ten years, and the future direction of existing programs remains unclear.
