This project is designed to help the Bucks County Historical Society (BCHS) improve its unrestricted fundraising activities by developing an integrated plan that will increase the Society's individual and corporate membership income and expand its membership base. The intent is to increase the unrestricted support for the institution, involve new people, businesses and organizations in the museum's activities, and present the museum's mission to a larger audience. Additional goals include increasing the longevity of the museum's memberships and to work to create invested members who will support the museum for many years. The cultivation of new and younger patrons is also desired, as is a higher participation rate in the museum's membership programs from the residents of Doylestown, with additional support from neighboring towns. Ultimately, this project will help bring BCHS closer to its community, integrating the two, and creating a sustainable symbiotic relationship from which all can benefit.
