An analysis of employment conditions in the Scranton - Wilkes-Barre area, 1900-1949

<p>While working as labor market analyst in the national office of the United States Employment Service during the four years prior to July, 1947, the writer developed a keen and enduring interest in the problem of persistent heavy unemployment which has plagued certain communities over long periods of time.</p>
