An Investigative Study of Instruction and Curriculum Planning for the Intellectually Gifted Child in the Elementary School

The past decade has witnessed a renewed interest in special education for gifted children-an interest which lagged tremendously during World War II. Prior to the War, for over twenty years this phase of educational opportunity had made great strides in progress toward a better understanding of the nature of the gifted child, scientific measurement to locate and place him, experiment with special classroom techniques, and follow-up studies.
