An Investigation of Some Primary Values Involved in One's Self-Conflict

There has long been a realization of the need for research into the area of the development of an individual's concept of himself and the forces upon which such a development depend. To this end social psychologists and sociologists have expended great time and effort in their attempt to secure facts from which insight into this area could be gained. Some of these efforts lead to the postulation of several specific theories as to the development and growth of the individual's concept of himself.
