In the past, organised guidance activities were limited to the college levels and the high school. Today, schools on all levels are recognizing the guidance needs of individuals from childhood through adulthood. Guidance seeks to have each individual become familiar with information about himself, his interests, his abilities, and his plans or ambitions for the future. Guidance further seeks to help the individual become acquainted with the various problems of social, vocational, and recreational adjustment which he faces.
