This novella follows the trials of Sheldon Greene as he navigates a new chapter of his life, one in which he has decided to be open about his sexuality. This decision causes unforeseen rifts in his family life, his work life, and his social life in the midwestern city of Cincinnati, Ohio. Long held secrets and lies are exposed, and Sheldon finds refuge in the political campaign for an openly gay mayoral candidate. Alone for the first time in a long time, he finally has the space to find self-acceptance and reconcile with the deeds of his past.
