An Analysis of the "Magazine Concept" in Daytime Television

The purpose of a thesis is to explore, either a new subject that has never been studied in depth, or new phases of a subject that has already been subjected to considerable research. The subject of this paper, the magazine concept, is a new programming idea as far as network broadcasting is concerned, especially in the field of television. I have found no published material on this subject that has studied it in depth. Therefore, in reading this paper, you will notice that most of the material is presented is either original source material or material quoted from periodicals.
