Algeria before the United Nations

The Algerian problem has focused the attention of the community of nations on an active scale for the last five years. This issue is a part of the national struggle for independence in Asia and Africa against colonialism. The Algerian national struggle was directly inspired by the success of the national movements in Tunisia and Morocco which finally culminated in the independence of the two neighboring countries. This thesis attempts to analyze the forces responsible for the difficulties encountered by the United Nations in arriving at a satisfactory solution to the problem.
