Albania's Struggle for Independence

Although the purpose of this thesis is to portray Albania's struggle for independence since the Turkish invasion in the fourteenth century and not to grope about in the dark periods of Albanian history, it seems necessary to present as an introduction a brief outline of the historical facts pertaining to this country from its birth down to the Turkish invasion. It will be the scope of this thesis to develop the consequences of this invasion, and of the Turkish rule as well as the different stages of Albania's independent existence.
