After Birth: Stories in the Style of a Nineties Rap Album is a collection of original short stories which, affectionately, revolve around jerks. The characters in these worlds are often egotistical, frequently inappropriate, sporadically altered and, in many ways, misguided. The majority are, quite unexpectedly, trapped in their own private purgatory. A few of these characters identify this predicament and rebel against it; others are either too great or too small to recognize this place. Some of the stories include characters that travel great distances while others are confined to a single setting. But if there is one thing they all share it's that these characters are, in their own manner, searching for a change. What is regrettably absent from this collection is a story devoted to Momma.
