Adult education under public auspices in the United States

It is the purpose of this thesis: 1. to give in brief form history, meaning, and need of adult education; 2. to show, in consecutive order, the history and present scope of the major fields of adult education under public auspices; 3. to point out trends, present weaknesses, and to make recommendations that have application in the various fields of adult education under public auspices.
