Thorazine is a new therapeutic agent with profound pharmacological activity. Since early 1951, it has been studied and has been given wide clinical use in Europe, both on the Continent and in Great Britain; and since the spring of 1952, American investigators have been studying the drug. Since little research has been carried out, psychologically, in connection with the administration of thorazine, it is thought that psychological study in the "uncharted" area of mental and emotional disturbances would be well worth the undertaking.
