A study of television as an educational tool in armed forces training activities
The armed forces have experimented in the use of television in their training programs and have found it to be an effective training medium. They are currently introducing television into the classroom as a practical teaching aid. However, efforts to affect broad inter-service dissemination and wide utilization of educational television techniques have been far from adequate. Research results and experience in educational television that will lead to increased learning, have not to a sufficient degree been brought to the attention of those closest to the learner -- the teacher. It was therefore decided to study this new field of television teaching, explore the results of experimentation and application from a civilian as well as the military training standpoint and to report these findings in a form readily assimilated and adaptable to those who have an interest in teaching this medium.
