A study of objects defined by a light source behind the object

The objective of this defense will be to point out some of the properties of light and their various effects within the scope of painting; to cite several different concepts of the use of light by artists primarily concerned with it in their paintings; and then to point out my attempts at resolving the problem of a light source behind the object. To illustrate this concept, I am presenting three paintings, one landscape and two still lifes.
