A study of managerial concepts for laboratory organizations

A study of the entire range of managerial behavior by scientist-managers would exceed the time and resources available. This present study, therefore, is limited to a key group of managerial actions. The focus of analysis is the judgment exercised by the scientist-manager as he evaluates the significance of situations which confront him in guiding the internal activities of his establishment.
