A Paper Electrophoretic Study of Rabbit Serum Proteins as Affected by Single and Periodic Ionizing Radiation

Gamma radiation has been shown to have demonstrable effects on some proteins of animal serum. A detailed knowledge of these alterations may contributed to an understanding of post radiation syndrome.The effect of single as well as periodic whole body irradiation on serum proteins as determined by a reliable and reproducible electrophoretic technique have apparently never been investigated. In fact, the effect of ionizing radiation on serum proteins has been little studied.
