This phenomenological qualitative study explores the intrinsic value, feasibility and potential for growth of interdisciplinary presentations of classical music. Interdisciplinary presentations for this study are marked by thoughtful, equal and integrated collaborations that exist between disciplines and/or subdiciplines that create something new and unique. A relevant and diverse selection of U.S. artists and presenters were interviewed and their responses were quantified as well as synthesized and explicated. Overwhelmingly, interviewees believe that interdisciplinary presentations of classical music are intrinsically valuable and should be a part of the future of classical music.
