A Comparative Analysis of Selected Supervisory Training and Development Programs of the Federal Government and Private Industry

A. Purpose of the StudyThe purpose of this study is to investigate, analyze and evaluate various aspects of some of the more significant supervisory training and development programs of the federal government and private industry. Their content, methodology and other essential features will be compared. The significant features of the programs used in industry that are not used by government and vice versa will be determined. Those aspects of supervisory training which have produced significant results will be discussed and general trends will be drawn from the programs.
