Report on a September 2005 meeting of academics, representatives of legal clinics, documentary filmmakers, litigators, and leaders of non-profit entities to discuss current activities to improve documentary filmmakers’ ability to use copyright law. The event was co-hosted by the Washington College of Law’s Program on Intellectual Property and the Public Interest and the Center for Social Media in the School of Communication, and funded by the Rockefeller Foundation and Grantmakers in Film and Electronic Media.
