AFCARS Adoption Data Research Brief Number 2. The purpose of the AFCARS Adoption Data Research Briefs is to make national and state level AFCARS data available to citizens and researchers interested in adoption, especially adoption of children with special needs. The reports were originally published online in 2006 by the North American Council on Adoptable Children (www.nacac.org), but are no longer available there. Data cover 1996-2003. Relevant historical background is included.
This brief describes data on the age of children at adoption and on the time from termination of parental rights to adoption.
