The College Art Association teamed up with the CMSI to simply the approach to the principles found within the Code of Best Practices in Fair Use for the Visual Arts. Today we take a closer look at Principle Three: Making Art. Artists often use cultural sources to create new artwork. Their pieces expand and critique our society through the singular point of view of the artists. This principle provides an outline for those instances where an artist can invoke their fair use rights.
