Saba: The Unspoiled Queen is a short documentary showcasing an island nation that should be looked upon by the rest of the world as a model of conservation excellence. The passion that the island’s residents have for their natural world and the lengths they go to protect the resources that support their livelihood is inspiring. Island nations throughout the world are experiencing the effects of climate change. Saba is one of them. This small volcanic Caribbean island is known for its incredible coral reefs and scenic ocean views from the top of its peaks. With the effects of ocean acidification spreading and water temperature rising rapidly, these incredible natural resources are at stake. However, the environmental decline seen across the globe has not been as rapid or detrimental here, due to one unique reason: the people of Saba. Come along as we meet Saba residents who will show us the incredible beauty that the island has to offer both above and below the waves. --Description from film website (http://www.sabadocumentary.com/)
