We interviewed seven public school teachers in the D.C., Maryland, and Virginia area to gain their perspectives on navigating restrictions on content in the classroom. To display our findings, we created seven podcast episodes that include the teachers voices as well as our own analysis.

Freedom dreaming, a concept coined by scholar Bettina Love, is defined as “a dreaming that is not characterized by whimsical, unattainable daydreams, but rather critical and imaginative dreams of collective resistance. In this conclusion episode, each group member talks about their takeaways from this project, as well as their hopes for the future of public education as it pertains to content restriction and book bans.
